Real-Time Performance as an Operator Service
FGN Boost is the performance layer operators deploy at the headend and extend across the Federation. It measures the path a real-time session actually takes, selects a better one when a better one exists, and reports what changed.
What Boost is
A performance service, not a speed tier.
Capacity upgrades answer how much data a subscriber can move. Real-time applications ask a different question: how consistently each packet arrives. Boost works on that second question.
Boost is deployed alongside the operator network rather than inside it. It observes conditions across the subscriber edge, the access and headend segments, the federated path and the application endpoint, then acts on the segment it can influence. The operator keeps its architecture, its vendors and its subscriber relationship.

Sessions are evaluated on the route they actually take, not on an average of the network.
Workload aware
A gaming session, a video call and an inference request value different attributes, and are treated differently.
Operator owned
Boost is offered under the operator brand, to the operator's subscribers, on the operator's terms.

Boost combines measurement, selection, delivery and reporting so a real-time session is handled as one continuous decision rather than a set of disconnected tools.
- Continuous measurementBoost samples latency, jitter and loss across four measurement zones so an issue can be attributed to a segment instead of assumed.
- Intelligent route selectionWhen more than one viable path exists between the subscriber and the application, Boost selects the path that best fits the workload's requirements at that moment.
- Loss recovery for real-time trafficFor sessions that cannot wait for a retransmission, Boost applies recovery techniques intended to keep the experience continuous rather than perfect on paper.
- Edge and federation reachParticipating operators can reach compute and application endpoints closer to the subscriber through the Federated Gig Network.
- Subscriber-visible outcomesBoost is designed to be presented as a service subscribers can understand, choose and see reported back to them.
- Operator reportingSession and segment reporting gives the operator a defensible view of what Boost changed, by market and by workload.

Boost engagements begin with a defined market and a definition of success agreed in advance, so both sides can tell whether the deployment worked.
Scope the market
Identify the markets, subscriber segments and workloads that matter most, and agree what success looks like before anything is deployed.
Baseline the network
Boost measures current conditions across the four zones so later results are compared against the operator's own starting point rather than an industry average.
Run a pilot
A bounded pilot is deployed with a limited subscriber group, an agreed duration and agreed reporting, with no change to the operator's existing architecture.
Launch and expand
If the pilot meets the agreed objectives, Boost is packaged for subscribers and extended market by market, with reporting continuing through the operator relationship.

Straight answers.
Does Boost replace our existing network vendors?
No. Boost is deployed alongside the operator network. It works with the architecture, gateways and transit relationships already in place.
Is Boost only for gaming?
No. Gaming is the most visible real-time workload, but the same measurement and selection apply to video collaboration, cloud and remote work, and AI inference traffic.
What do we have to change on our network?
An evaluation begins with measurement, which does not change how traffic is carried. Any deployment step is agreed in advance and scoped to the pilot market.
Can Boost be sold under our brand?
Operator-branded subscriber presentation is in development with launch operators. How Boost is presented to subscribers is defined in the applicable agreement.
What results should we expect?
FGN does not publish performance figures until the underlying evidence is approved. An evaluation reports against your own baseline in your own markets.
